Lexington&#8217;s largest park, once pastures for Kentucky&#8217;s first Methodist            Church built in 1787. Rambling park offers equestrian facilities, a            dog run, soccer fields, bird nesting areas and ample greenspace.<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"319\" height=\"236\" src=\"http:\/\/www.townbranch.org\/explore\/photos\/web--guide\/masterson-station.jpg\" \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\"><strong><font color=\"#1f60a9\">Town            Branch Greenway Phase I and II<\/font><\/strong> of the trail have been            planned, funded and await construction. This initial two mile segment            runs from Bracktown and the entrance of Masterson Station to Lewis Manor            and Alexandria Drive.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>Lewis            Manor<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.            Federal-style national register home built at the turn of the 19th century            by Col. Thomas Lewis, a Revolutionary War veteran. Home is adjacent            to historic spring that feeds Town Branch.<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"322\" height=\"233\" src=\"http:\/\/www.townbranch.org\/explore\/photos\/web--guide\/lewis-manor.jpg\" \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>Wolf            Run Creek<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.            As a tributary to Town Branch Creek, Wolf Run provides a potential link            for a trail into the Cardinal Valley neighborhood.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>Veterans\u00e2\u20ac\u2122            Hospital<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.            Handsomely landscaped campus of stately Colonial Revival medical buildings            that have served the Bluegrass since 1931.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>Former            City landfill<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.            This site is undergoing extensive environmental clean up. Like Raven&#8217;s            Run, it has the potential to provide vital reclaimed greenspace.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>Old            Woolen Mill<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.            Built circa 1820, this large stone ruin is the oldest remaining industrial            building along Town Branch. The mill later served as a jail and city            work house. It is owned by the urban-county government.<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"231\" src=\"http:\/\/www.townbranch.org\/explore\/photos\/web--guide\/woolen-mill.jpg\" \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>Spring            Hill Farm<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.            National register Greek Revival farmhouse and outbuildings circa 1850            encircled by a rock fence. It is owned by the urban-county government.<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"324\" height=\"230\" src=\"http:\/\/www.townbranch.org\/explore\/photos\/web--guide\/spring-hill-farm.jpg\" \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>McConnell            Springs<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.            Site of the founding of Lexington in 1775. A recently dedicated city            park with a engaging interpretive trail. The Blue Hole spring and lofty            bur oaks afford a pleasant stroll through our unique karst topography.<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"323\" height=\"231\" src=\"http:\/\/www.townbranch.org\/explore\/photos\/web--guide\/mcconnell-springs.jpg\" \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>McConnell            Houses<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.            William and James McConnell, pioneer founders of Lexington, built two            dry-laid stone houses circa 1790 along Town Branch Creek. These are            among the oldest structures remaining in the Bluegrass.<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"330\" height=\"238\" src=\"http:\/\/www.townbranch.org\/explore\/photos\/web--guide\/mcconnell-james-house.jpg\" \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"323\" height=\"235\" src=\"http:\/\/www.townbranch.org\/explore\/photos\/web--guide\/mcconnell-will-house.jpg\" \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>James            E. Pepper Distillery<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.            Home to &#8220;Old 1776.&#8221; One of the earliest sites for bourbon            making in the Bluegrass pulled water from a neighboring spring. Large            buildings used in bourbon-making remain beside Town Branch Creek.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>Town            Branch Creek Stone Walls<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.            Despite a century of neglect, dry-laid stone creek banks that date back            to Lexington\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s early history still line the stream.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>Mary            Todd Lincoln House<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.            The childhood home of one of Lexington\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s most famous citizens            is now a beautifully restored house museum with a formal garden.<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"326\" height=\"234\" src=\"http:\/\/www.townbranch.org\/explore\/photos\/web--guide\/mary-todd-lincoln.jpg\" \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>Lexington            Civic Center and Heritage Hall<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.            A premiere state venue for conventions, athletics, and entertainment.            In Triangle Park a 300-foot long cascading fountain is a favorite gathering            place on summer evenings. <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>Old            Courthouse and Cheapside Park<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.            The Old Courthouse was built in 1899 on the site used for Fayette County            Courthouses for 200 years. Cheapside Park has been the scene of a wide            spectrum of community history from slave auctions, early schools and            markets to political speeches and public riots.<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"317\" height=\"234\" src=\"http:\/\/www.townbranch.org\/explore\/photos\/web--guide\/cheapside.jpg\" \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>Farmer\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s            Market<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.            On Saturday mornings during the growing season Lexingtonians can find            the finest local and regional produce at this vibrant outdoor marketplace.            Site of former 1879 Lexington City Market House.<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"325\" height=\"234\" src=\"http:\/\/www.townbranch.org\/explore\/photos\/web--guide\/farmers-market.jpg\" \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>New            Courthouse Plaza and Phoenix Park<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.            New public urban spaces stand in the midst of art galleries, theatres,            restaurants, and a dramatic five story Foucault Pendulum and Clock in            the central library.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>Bank            One Plaza and the Kentucky Theater<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.            This Main Street park is a favorite outdoor spot for a picnic lunch            from the various nearby restaurants. Across the street is Lexington\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s            historic<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>Kentucky            Theater<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">,            a 1922 ornate movie house restored as a favorite venue for live performances            and movies.<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>Thoroughbred            Park<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.            A linear fountain anchors elegant stone work and superbly rendered bronze            sculptures of racing thoroughbreds. A rose garden awaits the winner.<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"317\" height=\"234\" src=\"http:\/\/www.townbranch.org\/explore\/photos\/web--guide\/thoroughbred-park.jpg\" \/><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\" color=\"#1f60a9\"><strong><strong>Charles            Young Park and Goodloetown<\/strong><\/strong><\/font><font size=\"3\" face=\"Times New Roman, Times, serif\">.
